Standing in the Gap

                       Dominican Mission Trip
          Gap Hill On Mission
         March 2010
Dear Christian Family:
The Gap Hill Baptist Mission team has been active in mission work both at home and abroad for more than twenty-five years.  In the past six years, Gap Hill Baptist Church has completed mission work in many locations:  Dominican Republic, Haiti; and several other international missions as well as many national locations including disaster relief missions.
Currently the team, sponored by the church, is undertaking the completion of the New Jerusalem church in Dominican Republic.  This is the fourth church in the Dominican Republic area to be constructed or remodeled by the team.  Medical clinics will be held also during this mission trip.  In the past, we have seen and given medication to approximately 10,000 patients and more than 3000 professions of faith have been made.
The team actively seeks opportunities to fund the mission projects.  This year the team sponsored a Car Show at our Fellowship building.  The car show included food, live and silent auction items, door prizes, and games for the children.  The silent auction was held throughout the day until 4 PM and then a live auction began at 6 PM.  The endeavor included something for the whole family.
The remaining funds needed for materials for the project stand at approximately $50,000.  Materials include building supplies and medications.  Although the need is great, we believe God will provide and that you will give.
The current economic times are affecting everyone and we realize that giving will truly be a sacrifice.  Please pray about your part in this effort and remember that God will bless you as you give to help others in need.
We appreciate your consideration and donation to this effort.  May the Lord richly bless as you give to His work.
